What does No-Code mean?

No-code development refers to the practice of building and executing software without having to write original code. Companies do this through software design systems that enable users to map out business logic and implementation processes within simple interfaces. NC platforms typically enable users to drag and drop pre-assembled code blocks around blank workspaces and create connections between different functional components.

What types of machines and devices are supported?

All devices that have a known communication protocol using interfaces like RS323, TCP/IP, MQTT, OPC, etc. can be used or any device that is Industry 4.0 ready.

Example: Common printers, thermal printers, barcode scanners, PLCs, IOT devices, etc.

How long does the installation take?

The configuration, installation and rollout of the solution take days for small simple solutions and up to weeks and months for very complex and extensive installations.

What types of interfaces are supported?

Any type of interface is supported e.g EDI, REST, Socket, PCL, TCP/IP

What are the requirements for starting the installation?

NC-Vision starts the installation as soon as the customer meets the following requirements:

  • If the customer does not decide for a SaaS model, a server environment (bare metal server, local VM) must be provided.
  • Network connectivity
  • Access for NC-Vision to the hardware (sensor, machines etc.) which are to be integrated into the solution including API
  • Support of customer IT and process employees in defining the optimal customer solution
What types of user interface devices are supported?

Our solutions support all common user interface devices.  

All NC-vision software use developed using modern web technologies and have the highest operations system coverage. Our solutions can be used from any modern browser ( recommended minimum or higher: Firefox 77.x, Chrome 83.x, Opera 68.x, Safari 13.x, Android Browser 81.x )   or installed as a desktop application to ensure maximum compatibility supporting all common used operation systems: Apple OS X, Windows 7/10, Linux or Android 7.x and above. 

Shop floor kiosk applications are designed to run on low power profile devices like Raspbeery PI 4 or Thin Clients. Mobile applications can also be installed on Android devices.

What exactly does NC-Vision SaaS mean?

In the SaaS model NC-Vision takes over and is responsible for the application operation of our solution in a cloud infrastructure.

Can NC-Vision toolbox run in a hybrid model?

Yes, it is possible. Our solutions run in hybrid model which is using PaaS, SaaS on-premise or a combination

Is NC-Vision toolbox offered on-premise?

Yes, it is possible. Our solutions run on any common hardware.

What are the costs?

The pricing model is based on the intensity of CATS use by the customer. In a full-cost analysis, we guarantee a very competitive price. NC-Vision Sales will be happy to provide you with information.

Trial Account: Test-drive the Toolbox for Production & Traceability

What is a trial account?

It is a trial CATS (Cumulative Advanced Traceability System) browser app, created specifically for the user that requested it, containing all the modules chosen by him/her while completing the steps in the request process

How & when can I access my trial account?

Once you have submitted your request, your trial account will be up and running after being approved during the next 24 hours.

An email containing

  • the URL of your trial account
  • your username (which is the email you filled in when the request was submitted)

will be sent to you once the trial account is available.

You can use your trial account for 14 days. However, if you need more time, simply write us an email and we’ll be happy to extend your trial with another 14 days.

What can I use my trial account for?

To test out all installed modules and their functionalities, based on what you had selected when requesting your free trial. Quick heads-up: Some modules might not yet be available for trial (but work perfectly on our production systems).

What credentials do I have to use for my trial account?

The email and password you have chosen in the trial account request form.

Will I be using the same credentials for all my trial accounts?

Only if you choose the same credentials when filling out the request form. Otherwise, each trial account has individual credentials.

How can I change the modules chosen for my trial?

Trial Accounts have limited functionalities and no editing option. However, you can request a new trial for the chosen modules either on the trial request page.
